Texarkana psychologist Dr. Mark Worthen graduated Phi Beta Kappa
from the University of Maryland's Psychology Honors program.
He earned a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from Baylor University
in Texas and completed his clinical internship in the Boston area where he was a
Clinical Fellow of Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Worthen provides psychotherapy for motivated adults who survived
childhood/adolescent abuse, emotional neglect, parental addictions, or
dysfunctional family environments.
He provides warm, affirming, and supportive therapy, while helping you to
develop your innate strengths, undiscovered resources, and courage to
change.
Dr. Worthen also offer substance abuse assessment and treatment for
adolescents and adults. He works comfortably with persons recovering in a
12-Step program.
Dr. Worthen provides assessments, counseling, and parent consultation for
adolescent oppositional-defiant behavior, attention deficit disorder (ADD),
depression/anxiety, substance abuse, and juvenile delinquency.
Finally, Dr. Worthen provides treatment for persons suffering from mood
disorders and anxiety disorders such as clinical depression, dysthymia,
bipolar (manic-depressive) illness, generalized anxiety, and
obsessive-compulsive disorder.
